Day 1 Arrival Shanghai Depends on your flight schedule Upon arrival in Shanghai, your guide will meet you and lead you to the hotel. Meal included: None Day 2 Shanghai Today a tour of Shanghai can take us to some of the most iconic and scenic spots of the city. The Shanghai Museum East (closed on Tuesday),is a world-class museum that houses over 120,000 cultural relics from ancient China, including bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, and paintings. We can admire the exquisite beauty and the historical significance of the artifacts and learn about the evolution and diversity of Chinese civilization. After that, we can go to the Yu Garden (closed on Monday), a classical Chinese garden that features rockeries, pavilions, and ponds, and reflects the harmony and balance of nature and culture. We can stroll through the winding paths, enjoy the tranquility and serenity of the garden, and shop for souvenirs or snacks in the nearby bazaar. Then, we can go to Shanghai Tower, which is a super-tall skyscraper and a remarkable landmark in Shanghai. In 2016, Shanghai Tower won the "Best Tall Building Award" from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. It has become an important symbol of Shanghai's modernization and a must-visit attraction for tourists Shanghai Xintiandi, a unique and fashionable area that combines modern and traditional elements. It is divided into two parts: Nanli and Beili. Modern buildings are the main ones in South Lane, while in the northern part, the old buildings of Shikumen are mainly preserved, creating an interesting interaction between the old and the new. Stroll around at the nearby shopping malls. Then, walk on Nanjing Road, the busiest shopping precinct in China. And to the Bund, also known as the Waitan, a waterfront promenade that showcases the colonial architecture and the modern skyline of Shanghai. We can take a leisurely walk, take some photos, and soak up the atmosphere of the bustling cityscape. Finally, transfer to hotel. Meal included: Breakfast at hotel Day 3 Shanghai-Suzhou Pick you up from hotel, then transfer to Suzhou, about 100km, 2hrs to Suzhou. There visit the Lingering Garden, one of China's four famous gardens, stroll and eat at Fengmen Old Street, see the Three Scenes of Pan Gate, and in the afternoon, visit Pingjiang Road and listen to a piece of Suzhou Pingtan. The Lingering Garden is one of the four most famous gardens in China. First built in 1593 during the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty, it is renowned for its exquisite architectural art, luxurious and spacious halls, and collection of Taihu Lake stones. Fengmen Old Street is an ancient gem within Suzhou that captures the essence of the city. It has an authentic ambience and unassuming charm, offering an immersive experience that transcends time. Here, you can stroll around, taste various local delicacies such as wontons, fried dough sticks, and glutinous rice balls, and feel the daily life and cultural heritage of Suzhou. Situated at the southwestern corner of the ancient city of Suzhou, Pan Gate has a history of 2,500 years. It consists of the water gate, the land gate, and the Auspicious Light Pagoda, which are known as the Three Scenes of Pan Gate. Pingjiang Road is a historical old street in Suzhou, retaining the double chessboard pattern of "parallel water and land, adjacent river and street" and the simple style of "small bridges, flowing water and households". There are many antique buildings, traditional shops and special snacks. You can wander on the flagstone road, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the water town in the south of the Yangtze River and feel the traditional culture of Suzhou. Finally, transfer you to hotel. Meal included: Breakfast at hotel Day 4 Suzhou-Hangzhou Reference train:G7571 15:34/17:11 From Suzhou, drive about 40-60mins, 50km, head to Tongli, a ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River. Visit the Tuisi Garden, Jiayin Hall, and Chongben Hall, experience the hand-rowed boat, and walk across the Three Auspicious Bridges. Then, take the high-speed train from Suzhou to Hangzhou. Tongli is a charming ancient water town in Jiangsu Province. With a history spanning over 1,000 years, it is well-known for its wel-preserved ancient architecture, criss-crossing rivers, and numerous stone bridges. The town's layout is centered around the waterways, creating a unique and idyllic scenery. It offers a peaceful and serene environment, allowing visitors to step back in time and experience the slow-paced life of ancient China. Then, transfer you to the train station to take high-speed train to Hangzhou Upon your arrival at Hangzhou train station, meet you and transfer you to hotel. Meal included: Breakfast at hotel Day 5 Hangzhou After breakfast, take a boat tour on West Lake, visit Lingyin Temple, and then go to Longjing for Tea-Tasting (with a tea-picking experience). West Lake is a renowned freshwater lake in Hangzhou, China. It is famous for its breathtaking natural scenery, which combines mountains, water, and lush greenery. With a long-standing reputation as one of the most beautiful places in China, it has inspired countless poets, painters, and scholars throughout history. Lingyin Temple is home to a large number of magnificent Buddhist buildings, such as the Hall of the Great Buddha, where a huge statue of Sakyamuni stands. Longjing is a well-known tea-producing area near Hangzhou. It is famous for its high-quality Longjing tea, which is one of the most prestigious green teas in China. The area is surrounded by beautiful tea plantations on the hillsides. The scenery here is charming, with rows of neatly-planted tea bushes stretching as far as the eye can see. The tea - picking experience allows visitors to get close to nature and learn about the traditional tea-making process. Then, transfer you to hotel. Meal included: Breakfast at hotel Day 6 Hangzhou-Huangshan Reference train:G7313 10:34/12:02 Transfer you to the train station to take high-speed train, about 1.5hrs to Huangshan. Upon your arrival, pick you up from train station, and drive to Hongcun, about 55km, 1.5hrs. Hongcun Village is located to the southwest of Yellow Mountain. It is adorned with peaceful countryside sights but uniquely in a Chinese painting style. The wood carvings, stone carvings and tile carvings here are quite exquisite. Finally, transfer you to hotel. Meal included: Breakfast at hotel Day 7 Huangshan In the morning, you will be transferred to well-known Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area. A cable car ride will take you up the mountain and your exploration begins from Believe Peak, Lion Peak, to Dawn Pavilion, A Monkey gaping at the sea and so on. The four wonders here are wondrous pine, grotesque rock, sea of clouds and hot springs, which constitutes a mystical land. You are free to hike a bit and take some gorgeous pictures. Today you will stay in Xihai hotel on the mountain. Meal included: Breakfast at hotel Day 8 Huangshan Today you are in Yellow Mountain Scenic Area. At last, you will take Yungu Cable Car down the mountain. Head to Bright Summit, then visit Tianhai Scenic Area. Take the Yun Gu Cable Car down the mountain, transfer to the scenic area shuttle bus to continue descending. After 1.5 hours, reach Tunxi Old Street in Huangshan urban area. Tunxi Old Street is a famous historical and cultural street with a long history and rich cultural heritage. It is known for its well-preserved ancient architecture and traditional commercial atmosphere. The street is lined with numerous antique shops, traditional Chinese medicine stores, tea houses, and snack bars. You can stroll along the street, admire the ancient buildings with white walls and black tiles, taste local specialties such as Huangshan Maofeng tea and Huizhou cuisine, and experience the unique charm of Huizhou culture. Finally, transfer you to hotel. Meal included: Breakfast at hotel Day 9 Huangshan-Shanghai Reference train:G1520 14:50/17:56 Today go to Huizhou District to visit Tangmo Ancient Village (with a rubbing stone tablets experience) and Lingshan Village (visit the elderly bamboo- weaving craftsmen). Then head to Huangshan North Railway Station and take the high - speed train to Shanghai. Upon your arrival, pick you up from train station and transfer you to hotel in Shanghai. Meal included: Breakfast at hotel Day 10 Shanghai departure Pick you up from hotel and transfer you to the airport to fly to Shanghai. (Note: In Shanghai train station, the Red Cap Service is included.
