Description
Operational notes Day 1: In order to visit Punta Tombo upon arrival it is required to arrive before 11:00 AM. Day 2: If it is not possible to take Punta Tombo, we suggest from mid-September to early December, replacing South Peninsula by Peninsula Valdes Experience visiting the penguin colony of San Lorenzo. Day 1. Arrival reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. If your flight arrives early, do not miss the opportunity to visit Punta Tombo, one of the Magellanic penguin colonies in the region, which is available from mid-September to the end of March. During the tour you will take a walk through the interpretative trails to learn more about the behavior of these birds. You will also have time to visit the Interpretation Center and have lunch (not included) at its parador. At the end, return to Puerto Madryn. Day 2. B Full day in Valdés Peninsula, declared a Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO due to its geography, flora and fauna. Departure from Puerto Madryn towards Puerto Pirámides. There from July to November, it is possible to take a boat trip where you will experience watching the Southern Right Whale (optional). Continue visiting Punta Pirámides where we can see a colony of one-haired sea lions, Punta Cantor and Caleta Valdés from whose cliffs it is possible to get close to an elephant seals colony. Back to Puerto Madryn, we stop at the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus to visit the interpretation center. Day 3. B At due time, transfer to the airport. Notes: Entrance transfer with guide. Departure transfer only with driver Day 2: The excursion to Península Valdes is a full day excursion. July to March (10 hs) - April to June (6 hs) Entrance fee to Península Valdes Reserve included.
